The salted egg yolk ice cream was a creamy scoop of goodness, with chunky bits of salted egg yolk still visible in the thick and rich sauce poured over it. With a slight orange hue, the ice cream sat pretty atop the black charcoal waffle. The waffle was nicely toasted, and the crispy edges went well with the soft and velvety ice cream.
The original waffle with s’mores was a nice contrast of dark bits of chocolate and white glow of marshmallows. When pulled apart, the sticky marshmallows were soft, chewy and sweet, making for the best companion to the not-too-sweet waffle. This is definitely something you’d want to treat yourself to after a long day of study or work!
